What is Wildlife Restoration Ecology?

Wildlife restoration ecology is about creating the relationships we want to see in nature, between people and nature, and even, among people. The WiRE Lab views people as an important part of food webs - both in the way we consume other organisms or otherwise affect how organisms interact with one another. Because (virtually all) food webs are affected by people, restoration is about setting a vision for what success looks like for both nature and people in the future. Within in this vision. evidence as one of the important tools that can be used to make wiser and more just decisions. Our work will bring this evidence to bear for society and our approach will challenge efforts to degrade knowledge or sow division between people.

This is us.
